New Light features two original members from the Elvin Jones band, Mr. Liebman and Mr. Perla, who will be joined by Adam Niewood and Adam Nussbaum. Niewood is a powerful saxophonist whose most recent project "Niewood plays Niewood" included legendary drummer Jack DeJohnette, bass man John Patitucci, and guitar giant John Scofeild. Adam Nussbaum has a history of almost four decades playing with the likes of Liebman, Scofield, Gil Evans, and Randy & Michael Brecker among a host of other big names in Jazz. Together, the quartet will explore the songs from "Elvin Jones: Live at the Lighthouse"
