About

Ars Nova Workshop is pleased to present a mind-expanding evening of music featuring the duo of Acid Mothers Temple founder Makoto Kawabata and percussionist/sound artist Tatsuya Nakatani.

For nearly 40 years, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Makoto Kawabata has melted ears and altered states with his expansive, edge-walking take on psychedelic rock. He’s best known as the founding member of legendary Japanese psych unit Acid Mothers Temple and the Melting Paraiso U.F.O., though he’s worked with a variety of outrageous ensembles including Mainliner, Musica Transonic and Zubi Zuva X.
