An Adjunct Professor of Music at George Mason University, Victor tours with NEA Jazz Master Paquito D’Rivera, and is a member of the GRAMMY award-winning Afro Bop Alliance.
Joining Victor Provost:
Incomparable pianist, composer and arranger Alex Brown. He’s previously appeared here with Victor and with his own trio to rapturous applause. A member of Paquito D’Rivera’s ensemble since 2007, Brown collaborates frequently with vibraphonist Warren Wolf and the classical wind quintet Imani Winds. This year, Brown joins the faculty of the Peabody Institute, part of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, as a Visiting Artist in Jazz Studies.
Bassist Bob Bruya has worked with Brian Lynch, Rick Margitza, Wycliffe Gordon, John Hart, Martin Bejerano, Veronica Swift, Joshua Breakstone, and Winard Harper. As of July 1, Bob resides in New York City.
Drummer Billy Williams has worked with Larry Willis, Steve Davis, Cyrus Chestnut, Delfeayo Marsalis, Ellis Marsalis, Christian McBride, Benny Golson, Tim Warfield, Terell Stafford, Warren Wolf, ELEW, Jon Faddis, Nat Reeves, Steve Wilson and many others.
